  4. While you wait for the bread to be soaked. Put a pan on the stove on HI and add the butter or the vegetable oil. Wait 1 minute and add the bread. Once you've added the bread reduce the oven to MED.
  5. Return the bread as soon as one side turn gold. Et voila it's ready! Hope you will enjoy.

It is very sweet - feel free to decrease the amount of sugar if you wish. There is no milk in this version. If you don't have a good nonstick pan, you may need to grease your pan with some oil or butter rather. Bread dipped in egg and milk is known across the world by different names.
